Memorial Day
Keegan and I recently went to Washington DC on his 5th grade trip. It was wonderful spending time together and experiencing the wonders of DC. It also gave us a renewed appreciation for our freedom and the sacrifices that many men and women gave for our freedom. Today, I created this layout with that feeling in mind. I used the new Freedom collection from Reminisce. It was perfect for these photos. Thank you to all of our soldiers who risk their lives daily to protect ours.

Weekend Cropping...
I hope everyone is having a great weekend! We have spent lots of time at the baseball field, but I did manage to get some scrappin' done. Yeah! Scrapperie is having a great Spring into Summer Crop going on this weekend. LOTS of great challenges and prizes. This is a layout I created for one of the monthly challenges. I loved the bright colors and cool pattern of this paper by Momenta. Of course, I had to add some funky chipboard by Magistical Memories, ink, and paint.

I made it!!!!
I am SUPER thrilled to announce that I have been chosen to design for Lotus Paperie Challenge blog! This is an amazing group of gals and the challenges are so motivating. Please come by and say, "Hi!" and join us for the upcoming challenges.
So many projects, so little time...

How was your NSD? I'll admit I didn't get to scrap as much as I wanted, but our festivities at Scrapdango were a big hit. I am amazed at all of the talent in the gallery! These are a few of the projects I completed. Now, I'm working on a kit for my class at Lasting Legacy and Design Team projects for Scrapdango. The Sugar kit for this month is AMAZING. So much Lily Bee goodness!
The Scrapdango Blog has a new look and a great May Celebrations Challenge going on. I didn't know there were so many reasons to celebrate this month. I better get started!
I also have to share this wonderful Candy Box Tutorial by Lisa Zappa on the Pink Persimmon site. She shows step by step how to create this adorable gift. I have to give this a try. Their stamps are just incredible!
Have a great day!

April Winner Announced
Our April Blog Challenge Winner is....
Tara Orr!!!
The incredible layout Tara submitted for the Earth Day Challenge will be published in the June issue of Scrapbooking.com ezine. Be sure to check it out!
"This is a layout I did of my son for earth day. I used cardboard as well as a newsclipping from today's paper. I used as little paper as possible as well as some scraps I had leftover. I sanded the edges of the photos, distressed and inked just about everything! The brad is from Stampin' Up's Build a brad series. I put in the recycling symbol as I felt it fit well considering the theme! The Journalling reads: "We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children".
Congrats, Tara! Email me your address and I will get your scrap goodies sent to you. Thanks for participating. Stay tuned for the May Challenges.
